McFarlane Elite Combat repaint - 'Major Domo'

I am a huge Halo fan and I have been 'collecting' Mcfarlane's Halo figures for a while. I usually don't like collecting toys or figures in general, but this Halo line from Mcfarlane is incredebly detailed, more than anything else I've seen before, so this it was a go.

I'm definitely loving this figure line, but one thing that bothers me is the lack of covenant variety. It seems that majority of this line is concentrated on spartans... With few in-game line figures. For example the Elites released thus far are only made in one color, blue (Minor Domo rank).

Well, since I'm abit crafty, I decided to paint one elite (I got three so far) as a higher Major Domo rank colour (which is dark red). And since the armour itself is exactly same, the paint scheme is somewhat more 'canon', so that the figure isn't just for fun flashy show.

This is my first attempt on figures so it's nothing too fancy. A simple repaint job done with a brush and paint.

I used the Games workshop paints, bought from one collectors shop. I like to use them since they are good on pretty much on all surfaces, plus they don't smell too bad either.
The colour itself is a mixture between Red and Purple ("Blood red" and "Liche purple") because there wasn't good match for the colour I was looking for.
