Spitfire and Soarin customs

Description

Spitfire & Soarin Wonderbolt blindbag-customs

These two took few weeks to make (lotsa drying time), overall few dozen hours of active work on them.

I used stock blindbag figures as basis for the work. I carved and resculpted them using small wood carving chisel and FixIt putty to sculpt where needed (both ponies manes, Soarin's tail and wings, their goggles and whatnot else small). The paint I used was games workshop acrylic paints which are absolutely blast to work with (although quite expensive :/). Nice and easy to mix, blend and dry according to needs (and also really easy to clean off thanks to their water solubility). Detailing work was achieved with inkjet waterslide decals carefully cut and applied to where needed... And finally finished with light coat of acrylic clear varnish to seal everything in nicely.

These were made for a friend :icondiftraku: so no, I'm not selling them.

Would Sculpy work for manes and tails?
